Apple will announce its next-generation iPad tablet at a special media event on March 2nd, The Wall Street Journal reports. The report, found on The Journal’s BoomTown blog, cites multiple sources with its claim and further supports an earlier report that the iPad 2 release will not be delayed. I think there are too many quality tablets coming out for Apple to hold back on a product that once again could change everything.
What we do know is that Apple will hold the event in San Francisco. Now is it to announce its new tablet? We hope so but they may just as easily say "here is the white iPhone you have wanted" and call it a day. Also we have to remember that Apple CEO Steve Jobs may not be there to unveil the new device. Jobs is on medical leave so Tim Cook will likely run the show. Whatever the show turns out to be.
